Exciting news: HDT4ALL is officially live! And I need your help to spread the word!
Today marks the release of HDT4ALL (Hardware Detection Tool), a new standalone software suite designed to identify PC hardware directly at boot on both UEFI and Legacy BIOS systems.
As many of you know from using SARDU, troubleshooting hardware without a loaded OS can be a pain. I built HDT4ALL to solve this exact problem: it reads and displays detailed specs of the CPU, RAM, disks, GPU, network adapters, and system sensors completely offline.
It is 100% Free and Open-Source (MPL-2.0).
How you can support this release today:
1. Test it out: Download the standalone ISO or find it integrated into SARDU's utilities. Try it on your oldest Legacy machines or newest UEFI rigs.
2. Share the word: If you are part of sysadmin, tech support, or PC building communities/subreddits, please share the link and let them know a new free tool is available.
3. Report issues: Firmware implementations can vary wildly between motherboards. Testing it on different hardware and reporting edge-case bugs is the best way to help me improve the software core.
